Nov. 26, 2024 – Metsä Group announced that the German Federal Cartel office has today started an inspection on Metsä Tissue, a subsidiary of Metsä Group, related to hygiene papers.
Metsä Tissue is cooperating with the authority.
In a written statement, Metsä Group explained, “The fact that the Cartel office carries out such inspections does not mean that the company is guilty of anti-competitive behavior nor does it prejudge the outcome of the investigation itself.”
Metsä Group uses wood to make recyclable products for the day-to-day lives of millions of people globally. The Group focuses on wood supply and forest services, wood products, pulp, paperboards, and tissue and greaseproof papers.
